Strategic Initiatives

Peppermint Ridge strives for continuous quality improvement in all aspects of operations. The board, staff and family members have been meeting to develop a strategic plan for our future. This planning has set certain directions for the organization. We have adopted the following strategic initiatives to guide our short and long term planning and day-to-day operations.

Programming
We will do whatever it takes to best meets the needs of our residents. and will continue to develop program services to meet the needs of a changing and more diverse population.

We recognize that our residents are growing older and are developing increased medical needs. We will develop and implement residential services that will allow us to accommodate our residents well into their senior years.

We also recognize that the available day programs in the community are not fully meeting the needs of our residents and other clients in our area. Day programs for older clients, behavior clients and clients that want training to be able to handle  competitive employment are needed. We are committed to utilizing opportunities that will allow us to develop outstanding day programs that will meet the needs of our residents and others in the community.

Human Resources
Recognizing that our most valuable resource is the people that dedicate their time and effort to our residents, we are resolved to maintain human resource practices that will allow us to hire and maintain the best quality paid and volunteer staff possible and to secure, manage and enhance human resources to assure quality programs and long term stability.

Financial and Facilities
Recognizing the critical importance of the material resources that are essential to the successful operation of The Ridge, we are resolved to manage Peppermint Ridge‘s financial and physical resources to maximum program effectiveness and efficiency.

Community Support and Public Relations
An important key to the outstanding quality of Peppermint Ridge services is the additional financial resources that community support provides. We will continue to secure community resources to assure quality programs, staff and long term stability

Risk Management
Recognizing that risk exists at all areas and levels of our operation, we have adopted an ongoing initiative to identify, prioritize and develop strategies to minimize risk throughout the organization.
