Good things build on each
other....
At the end of December 2007
at a gathering of family members, Robert Dudley and his
wife Peggy, parents of a Ridger, heard about the need to
open additional homes to serve adults with disabilities who
are medically fragile. This project is going to
cost about $700,000 to complete. Seeing that the Wynn
Foundation match campaign had prompted people to be very
generous, they decided to issue a challenge to The Ridge
Community. If we would raise half, they would
match it dollar for dollar up to $350,000.
As of May 21st, we have raised $250,000
in gifts and pledges and the first home is in escrow.
This progress ensures that more residents who will
benefit from a higher level of care can remain at the
home they have known for so long.
